Mirror Mode

Beat every “-K” level (get K O N G on every level in a world) and beat the game. When you do, a golden temple will show up on the world map. Beat the level there and you’ll unlock “Mirror mode,” a very difficult way to play through each level, in which Diddy can’t be used, you only get one life, the level is reversed, and you can’t use items.

Unlock the Banana Temple

Beating the game unlocks the Banana Temple, but it won’t be accessible unless you do a few things first. To gain access into the temple, collect the K-O-N-G letters in every world and get the orb in each of the world’s temples. Once you’ve collected all the orbs, the door to the Banana Temple will open.

Bonus Music Galleries

After you’ve beaten a boss for a given section of the island, head back to the Extras Menu. You’ll have unlocked a bonus music gallery that features the tracks played in the levels of that particular section. It’s also worth noting that you must defeat the boss yourself; if you use Super Kong to get past the fight, you won’t unlock the music.

Bottle: Fishing Hole

Go to the fishing hole, and find the sign that says: No Littering! You can get a bottle if you fish on the left side of the bridge that is near that sign. Its darker water than normal.

Frog Fishing Lure

To unlock the Frog Fishing Lure for the Fishing Hole, you must beat all eight levels of Roal Goal, a game found in the owner’s establishment. To play it, simply look at it in first person using the C button.

The game requires 5 rupees a play and you win 10 rupees for each round, and the frog lure for the eighth. (If you run short before you manage to get the lure, mowing the tall grass just outside (still in the fishing hole area) offers around 60 rupees.)

Lure description: The must-have lure for bass.

Sinker Lure

To obtain the Sinker Lure you must first catch a Hylain Pike, Hyrule Bass, and a Ordon Catfish in the fishing hole area with the lure rod. After you have caught one of each you go to the south east corner of the water closest to the house and take out your Fishing Rod(bobber) with the coral earring hook. After that you will catch the Sinker Lure. Make sure Hena doesn’t see you use it or she will take it away.

Wallet Upgrades

To upgrade your wallet size to carry more rupees, you need to catch Golden bugs for Agatha in Hyrule Castle Town.

Quiver Upgrades

To upgrade you arrow capacity, you need to play the “STAR” game located in the large tent in Southeast Hyrule Castle Town.

Unlockable levels

After you beat the game, World 9 is unlocked. Collecting all Star Coins in a world unlocks the corresponding level.

Save Anywhere

After you finish the final castle in World 8, you can save anywhere in the map. A Save option will appear where the Quick Save option used to be.
